Artist Bio

Brian Stuligross is a multi-instrumentalist and composer specializing in contemporary music and the acoustic blues. His career has taken him around the world, ranging from experimental concerts at Oxford University to The Sound of Music in Singapore, with many orchestral, pit, and solo performances in between.

Notable violin performances include Ashmont Hill Chamber Music series with Steph Davis, “Sustain” at the Experimental Music Oxford concert series, the Poppy @88 celebration of Terry Riley, and Ambient Orchestra’s premiere of Glenn Branca’s Symphony 14. Orchestral and theatrical performances include the Asheville, Orlando, Hilton Head, and New Hampshire Music Festival orchestras, Broadway International Group’s Sound of Music tour in Singapore and Malaysia, and the Ogunquit Playhouse and Riverside Theater. 

On guitar, he has appeared at various coffee shops and nightlife institutions performing his unique blend of blues, ragtime, and jazz. He has appeared around the country in a diverse array of theater pits and contemporary music concerts, playing a wide variety of acoustic and electric plucked string instruments.

His music has been performed by artists such as Sharan Leventhal, Factory Seconds Brass Trio, Der Gestanke ensemble, Katie Landsdale, and the just band, with upcoming premieres in early 2027 and a solo tour in 2027.

Stuligross attended the Cleveland Institute of Music and the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, studying violin, guitar, and composition. Primary mentors include Ivan Zenaty, Sharan Leventhal, Woody Mann, Marti Epstein, and Evan Johnson.
